You're here because you're ready to sleep through the night and wake rested--- knowing that your baby is safe, and well cared for by an expert overnight doula.
You've got a little one at home. You've just brought your new baby home, or they've been earthside for a few months.
You knew you weren't going to get much sleep, but it's so much harder than you expected, and you need sleep help.
You're trying to balance everything... but laundry and dishes are piling up, and you just can't think far enough forward to figure out what to have for supper.
And even though you love your little one with your whole heart, you are running out of patience, steam, and energy.
What if I told you there is a better way?
😴 Sleep through an entire night, without feeds, or diaper changes.
🍼 Have someone gently wake you to do the nightfeeds (if breastfeeding), so you don't have to worry about sleeping through the alarm.
👚 Have your housework done, whether its clean laundry, 🍝 or all your meal prep done when you wake up.
👩🏼🏫 Learn evidence-based postpartum info, so you can stop stressing and make informed decisions for you and baby.
All while knowing that your baby is with an overnight doula who cares for them with expert training and experience?
Let me take baby overnight, so you can relax and rest with confidence that whatever baby needs, I will look after it.
If you are breastfeeding, I'll bring baby to you when they are hungry. If baby takes a bottle, let me look after them for the whole night. I'll also settle them back to sleep, and change them as needed.
Let me take some thing off your plate so you can sleep without stress. From meal prep, to light housework-- leave me a list of tasks I can do without waking you.

No-- I am not trained in sleep training. My Sleep Support services are tailored to help new parents to get sleep, and I typically work with little ones who are still to young to be sleep trained. If you are looking to sleep train your little one, I am happy to recommend Sleep Consultants.
I offer a reduced hourly rate to clients who book more overnight hour with me. The care offered in each package is the same-- the difference is the length of our time together.
Yes! If you want Sleep Support for an extended period of time, I would be happy to create a long term contract for you. The hourly rate applicable in the "A Good Night's Sleep" package-- $30/hr-- would be used.
Nope. If you want to book one when you sign the contract, and book the others later on, that's fine! Just know that I do a limited number of Sleep Support shifts each week-- I might not be available last minute!
Yes! You can find all the info on my Postpartum Support page.
No, I don't do unattended childcare. For a couple of reasons:
1) My training is as a postpartum doula-- my role is to "mother" both the birthing parent and the new baby. Unattended childcare is outside of my scope of practice.
2) My hourly rate is typically much higher than a babysitter. If you are looking for a babysitter or nanny, I am happy to make recommendations.
I offer a limited number of scholarships for my Supportive Starts program annually. Unfortunately, I cannot offer discounts on my Sleep Support Packages. If financial investment is a concern, please reach out to me at info@collectivecare.ca-- I would be happy to recommend other doulas or support programs.
My Sleep Support services are only available within the HRM.
Before becoming a doula, I was a birth researcher for 14 years. I worked on research projects about infertility, the medicalization of childbirth, pregnancy experiences, motherhood and mothering, and how pregnancy and birth happen in different places around the world. I have a PhD in Reproductive Anthropology and Gender Studies. My last major research project was about experiences of pregnancy and birth in Sweden. I did research by spending time with pregnant people and their families.
I did my certification as a birth and postpartum doula through Doula Canada. I have also completed training in perinatal mental health, supporting water births, and pelvic physiology.
Yes! I am happy to provide proof of insurance, as well a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check on request.
To protect the privacy of my clients, I do not offer direct references-- I will not give you past clients contact info. I will provide testimonials from previous clients upon request.
